More About Krank'd

Krank'd Body Fuel has gone through many changes since its commercially available debut in 2002. At that time, we had perfected the formula and taste but were looking for the proper way to market it. We felt the best way to introduce Krank'd was to target riders and enthusiasts in the sport of cycling. At the time, Lance Armstrong was making headlines and a local Allentown, PA cycling organization was very interested in working with us to help get our product off the ground.

Now came the arduous task of deciding how to package our product. It was decided that we would introduce C-150 Krank'd Explosive Energy Drink in an easy to prepare powdered form complete with a convenient bike bottle. Our first flavor option was a well-received delicious fruit punch, and it test marketed very well.

However, early sales and marketing analysis indicated we may be type-casting Krank'd to an insufficient size market to continue making the product. Since our product could benefit all athletes, we decided to market a broader audience and then decided that Krank'd had something for everybody, no matter what activities they were into. We also quickly discovered that manufacturing Krank'd as a ready-to-drink product in a single serving size was more desirable and set our sights on re-introducing the product as such. After exploring and experimenting with several packaging options, serving sizes, flavors, and formulation improvements, we are continually improving Krank'd for your total enjoyment!

By The Numbers

1. First introduced as Krank'd C-150 in a powdered fruit punch with a matching sport bottle. Knowing it was and still is a desirable form, we have kept and heavily promoted the powdered formula and added several flavor choices.

2. Krank'd was then manufactured as a ready-to-drink beverage in a 16oz plastic container in Fruit Punch & Orange.

3. Our second ready-to-drink packaging was manufactured in 20 ounce plastic bottles in five popular flavors. We also mirrored the powdered version with more flavors.

4. Krank'd 5-in-1 performance beverage was introduced in 16oz glass bottles and available in Fruit Punch, Grape, Pina Colada, Lemonade, Watermelon, Orange, Lemon-Lime. We decided to create various label designs to help expand the product's reach into the emerging dynamic markets we found were using the product.

5. Krank'd Body Fuel is now currently in ready-to-drink 16.9 ounce PETE plastic bottle in Fruit Punch, Orange, Grape, and Peach Tea. We are introducing a revolutionary 3-Step Pre, Perform and Post exercise program with our original powdered formula along with 2 complementary products designed to cover every phase of your training program. We are also on the verge of introducing and more hard-core 3-Step Program by re-engineering our base products to appeal to more competitive athletes.

Quick Fact

While our original slogan - 'cause losing sucks - was very popular among the general public, it was not so well received by some of our distributors, retailers, and advertisers. We begrudgingly changed it to - 'cause it works - after being literally told to "grow up"!

Looking back to those times brings a smile to our faces because the moniker - 'cause losing sucks - seems mild to the catch phrases now being used by the some of the industry's image-based spokespeople.
